Microbiome

Who has heard of seeding the micro biome?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

A vital importance for a baby is to seed the micro-biome. That means a baby being born normally as it passes through the mothers vagina picks up micro-organisms which colonise the gut. Up to that point, the baby’s digestive process has gone through the mother. The gut is colonised with micro-organisms from its mother to which it has its mothers immunity. That’s how it naturally builds its immune system. A baby born by cesarean doesn’t have that advantage but there are ways around this. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

If it is a planned c-section, the mother can sleep with the baby blanket in advance and wrap baby in it once born to colonise the baby with the micro organisms. Likewise, for an unplanned c-section, lye on a baby blanket during the operation and wrap baby in it afterwards. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

These are good ways for a mother to own a c-section. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Also, did you know that breast milk contains sugars that babies can’t suggest? These sugars are actually for feeding certain microbes 🤯⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
