Summer Pregnancy

Is it just me or is anyone else feeling like just doing this today!!!

Thinking of all you pregnant mamas today. Here are some more great tips to keep cool from @positivelybirthing

❄️Stand in a Freezer
 
.
 
🍦Eat Icecream
 
.
 
💦Stay hydrated- aim for at least 2 litres a day in this heat!
 
.
 
💨Seek out Aircon! (Cinema, coffee shop chains, supermarkets all good bets!)
 
.
 
🏊🏽‍♀️Swim! Indoor pools avoid the sun!
 
.
 
🚿Cool showers, multiple times a day, also helpful if you go into labour this week!
 
.
 
🛌Sleep with just a sheet and minimal clothing!
 
.
 
🌬 Invest in a fan! Particularly if you are due soon.. take it with you in labour!
 
.
 
🧖🏼‍♀️Cool flannel or damp towel near you at all times!
 
.
 
🌫pop a spray bottle of water in the fridge for a face spray, add peppermint oil if you like! Also helpful to use in labour!
 
.
 
👶🏽Any changes in movement, feeling sick, faint, dizzy or funny- drink a sugary drink and contact your midwife via your 24 hr contact number.
