Second Trimester

This is generally when the pregnancy glow kicks in. Any morning sickness should ease around 15 weeks and you’ll notice your skin start to glow and your hair start to thicken. Finally you can share your news with friends and family. Enjoy this time. Most people agree that this is when they enjoy their pregnancy the most. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🧅 By week 15 you should be able to determine the sex of your baby if you wanted to or you can wait for your 20 week scan. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🥑 Week 16. No visible bump yet? Don’t worry. A lot of first time Mums don’t start to look pregnant until after 20 weeks. Studies suggest that your baby can start to hear around 16 weeks but the ears are not fully developed until 24 weeks. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🥔 Around week 18 you might start to feel little flutters which is your baby moving around. Week 19, your baby has fingernails and eyelashes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🍌 Week 20 you will have your second scan where your baby’s organs, size, blood flow to and from placenta is checked and you can confirm the sex if you want to find out. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🌽 If your baby is born after 24 weeks, they have a reasonable chance of survival. . . . 📷 @fifi_jenks
