✨ T R A N S I T I O N ✨.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ladies, this does and will happen to you. I remember it both times with my girls. This is the moment in labour when a woman enters the second stage, her cervix becomes fully dilated and the baby is ready to pass into the birth canal. It is nearly time to start pushing and start with your down breathing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Midwives are very reassured when they hear a labouring woman say these words. They will have heard them screamed/muttered/cried on many many occasions. They will instinctively know that the woman is transitioning and preparing themselves for the inevitable, final chapter.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Adrenaline kicks in and you will find strength and perseverance from deep within, trust me. It can be a very daunting moment but hypnobirthing prepares you and most importantly your birth partner for when this happens. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So birth partners take note. When she says she’s going home and she’s can’t do anymore, give her a massive boost of encouragement and outpouring of love. Carry on being her cheerleader to the very end, as she is about to give birth 💙💖⠀⠀
