How we use language around a woman in labour is very important. A woman during labour is much more alert in order to protect her baby so something that might have been water off a ducks back before might have a more profound effect during labour. 👼🏼⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A thoughtless word can lead to tension in the body ➡️ decrease in oxytocin ➡️ can slow labour. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Positive words can have the opposite effect and speed up labour. ✨ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
